Cotswold Way South

Mile 84

Sodburys

There is a fine medieval manor house at Little Sodbury. The church was built in 1659, using stonework from the manor house’s chapel. On the pulpit there is a carved figure of William Tyndale. He preached here at the chapel, and perhaps it was there that he was inspired with his idea to translate the Bible into English. Old Sodbury is where you will find accommodation and places to eat.

Sodbury House

Old Sodbury, South Gloucestershire, BS37 6LU - Cotswold Way South

Situated in its own spacious grounds of lawns and fruit trees, this former farmstead dates from the 1700's, its rustic charm complemented by modern restoration. We concede that there's nothing quite like your own home but we do try to come close to it with well furnished comfort either in the main building with a crackling log fire in the foyer or in the adjacent coach house and garden rooms, all with easy access to ample parking space.
